Cyber Relief was founded in 2024 after Advocate Yogayata Jhunjhunwala witnessed, through her legal practice, the profound impact cybercrimes were having on people across India. Many individuals became victims simply because they lacked the information, awareness, and timely support needed to recognise online threats.
Recognising this gap, and in partnership with Little Ridge, Cyber Relief was established as a platform dedicated to educating, training, and assisting people so they can navigate the digital world with clarity, confidence, and protection.
Digital technologies continue to advance rapidly, expanding their reach across the country. India had 886 million active internet users in 2024, according to Internet in India 2024, a report by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and Kantar. The same report estimates that this number will exceed 900 million by 2025.
However, the knowledge required to use these technologies safely has not grown at the same pace. As a result, people remain vulnerable to cyber threats. Cybercrimes in India are rising faster than the public’s ability to understand, prevent, or respond to them. This imbalance between technological growth and digital literacy has created a critical vulnerability in society. Cyber Relief exists to help bridge this gap by enabling people to stay informed, aware, and prepared.
Cyber Relief is committed to supporting its community across three essential levels:
Addressing cases related to blackmail, harassment, defamation, and personal disputes—whether or not a financial motive is involved—to help safeguard personal dignity, privacy, and security.
Assisting organisations facing attempts to access or manipulate confidential information. Large-scale breaches can threaten operational integrity and compromise the privacy of individuals associated with the organisation.
Raising awareness of threats to critical information infrastructures that support national functioning and social stability.
As the founder of Cyber Relief, Advocate Yogayata Jhunjhunwala strives to build a safe, inclusive, and informed digital environment that protects the privacy and security of individuals and organisations.
